Bianca Lago, or “Some Lady”, is an artist living and working in San Francisco. For her
undergraduate studies Lago attended CalPoly Humboldt, where she received a BA in Studio
Arts, along with a post baccalaureate certification in Museum & Gallery Practices via a year long
internship at the Morris Graves Museum of Art. She continued her graduate studies at the San
Francisco Art Institute, SFAI, and is currently enrolled at CIIS for Expressive Arts Therapy.
Some Lady served on the board of the Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA) from 2018-2022 where
she developed the Young Women’s Caucus (YWC) before passing the subcommittee along to
the Chicago Chapter. Lady has been an active member in her community work from her
undergraduate day in Arcata, CA to her current practice in San Francisco.
Some Lady’s current exploration into spiral imagery ties into her work of combining the fields of
psychology and arts-based practices, creating tools for exploring complex trauma and healing
through symbolism and Jungian archetypes.
